Tired and Weary

People today seem to be so beat down by the everyday struggles of life. They seem to be so very tired and weary. It is so bad that it has brought on a new illness called “chronic fatigue syndrome”. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people that suffer from this disease of our time. The doctors can actually do little about the problem if you suffer from it. About the best that they can do is give you some sleeping pills and muscle relaxers, but that does not cure the problem it only hides it. Wouldn’t you rather find a cure for your weariness? You may say, “Of course I would, does one exist?” I am happy to report to you that there is a cure for your problem of fatigue and weariness. We find the cure in our text, and we would like to examine it extensively with full confidence that it will help you. A sermon by Pastor Steven Glover

Purpose and the Beginning of Deliverance by Richard Swartz

Deliverance can be a very confusing time for individuals going through this process. During this time, it helps to remember why we are making this journey. There are two basic purposes for deliverance in the life of a believer and the Church as a whole. The first purpose is to be sanctified. (1 Thess 5:23) The Lord wants us to be free from bondage to sin and demonic influence. The second purpose is worship and devotion to God. (See Ex 3:18 and Ex 5:1)

Our Journey by Richard Swartz

Our redemption is not the only reason we are subjected to the things of this world. I believe God has allowed the fall of man to happen so that all of creation can witness how terrible things get when we stray from God. He is writing this testimony on our hearts so that we will be living witnesses. For all of eternity, we will be living, first-hand witnesses and have testimony of the chaos and suffering caused by sin. I believe He is doing this so that creation will never rebel against Him again.

Today I Will Make a Difference

Some thoughts written by Max Lucado

Today I will make a difference. I will begin by controlling my thoughts. A person is the product of his thoughts. I want to be happy and hopeful. Therefore, I will have thoughts that are happy and hopeful.

Relationship & Forgiveness

I knew this guy once. He was so pent up and destroyed by what his wife had done to him. He never could seem to let go of the fact that someone he dedicated his whole life to would do such a thing to him. So he spent a few years searching for someone to replace her. Sad thing was there wasn't anybody that could do such a thing. Every woman he went out with only reminded him vaguely of the life he had with her. Most of the relationships were only built on sex and his need to fulfill the part of him that was missing.
