The Likes of Jonathan Edwards, George Whitfield and Martin Luther

Nothing less than the fullness of God's glory, if this is the hearts cry of these men of days gone by, how much more in this day and time is it the necessity of the Church and God's ministers today. E.M. Bounds and men of God who allowed the work of the cross to so devastate their lives that there was no hope of recovery of to a carnal Christian experience. Has the message of the Cross of Calvary and the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed so permeated our being that God himself becomes our very life and breathe through the power of the resurrection, the very glory of God on our behalf. Nothing less than the fullness of the glory of God, if this was purchased have we taken hold of the gift or have we allowed our focus to be swayed from the heart of God?

Ephesians 3:14 "For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. John 1:16 "And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace." "Seeing it pleased the Father that the fullness of God would dwell in Christ" Colossians 1:19.

Is it not the cry of our heavenly Father nothing less than the fullness of the glory of God the Almighty the Amen the first and the last. Jesus said unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no life in you, are we feeding on the Son of God? Or will we find ourselves at the end of the rebuke from Stephen to the religious as he said in Acts 7 "You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you. "

How I find I need to repent and call on God's mercy for missing and allowing the carnal man to blind God's desire and affections in my life calling for eyeslave that I may see and gold tried in the fire and a rope of righteousnesss that my nakedness not appear, and to find comfortand hope in Hebrews 5:2 "He can deal gently with the ignorant and wayward, since he himself is beset with weakness." And finding mercy and hope as his presence cleanses and washes me as I acknowledge I am bankrupt and totally dependent on the Lord for sight and strength to follow him. Jeremiah said turn me Lord and I am turned heal me Lord and I am healed, David said the Lord my shepherd leads me in paths of righteousness for his names sake.
