And maybe the most interesting thing about what's happening in Lakeland is that it isn't just happening here, but all over the earth simultaneously. Revivalist Todd Bentley, 32, of Canada has been the leading figure when it comes to the thousands of healings.
I have been following the claims of 'miracle healing' coming out of Lakeland, Florida and spreading all over the world via www.god.tv and the internet. I have myself sat in the chatrooms and listened to a countless number of people come in and request prayer. Quite a few sit in there all day and praise Jesus asking for the fire of the spirit to fall down on Todd Bentley, themselves, and their lives.
I have nothing against revival, nor do I dismiss faith healing by the laying of hands. However, I have listened to quite a few sermons preached live from Lakeland, Florida and I can definately say something is just not right. NOT ONE TIME have I heard anything about repenting of your sins. Jesus preached a repentful spirit everywhere He went. John the Baptist taught people to repent as he was baptizing them in preparation for the Messiah.
